Artistry that plays tricks on the eye.
FAUX BOIS:
Faux Bois is French for "Imitation Wood" and refers to an art form that originated in the 1800's to transform cement sculptures, benches, bridges, balconies, and other architectural elements into the appearance of wood.
This art form continues to be popular using a variety of techniques and tools. Some techniques closely mimic wood, and some purposely show it is paint, such as the stylized French doors in Paris.
Our talented artists skillfully create this art form in a vast variety of colors, wood grains, and techniques, ranging from the appearance of raw wood, to elegant polished mahogany. Whatever may inspire you, we transform concepts into beautifully executed designs that capture your vision.
FAUX STONE:
Faux stone precisely emulates the colors and markings of natural stone through layered paint so that it blends seamlessly. Real stone has translucent layers that give it depth and richness, and our artists skillfully recreate this effect in paint, allowing the character of the stone to flow onto a different material. In the collection below, the small segment is genuine stone, while the bottom piece is wood painted to look like it.
